Evaluation - How did you attract/address your audience?

Evaluation - What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Here is the equipment i used in my project:
Panasonic HDC-SD60, this is the camera i used to do all my filming. It is HD and very simple to use.

My Apple Mac, i used this to edit my film using programs that i will discuss bellow.

Sony Tri-pod, i used this to keep my camera steady while filming. Using a tripod removes shakiness that occurs while a camera man holds the camera.
This camera grip is called "The Scorpion", i use this grip while i was shooting my driving scene. Using this equipment i was able to hang the camera outside of the car window and shoot as the car was moving, this also helped to remove shakiness.
Programs that i have learnt to use through my project:
After Effects CS5 - I used this editing software when i was doing my special effects, such as the window smashing effect. I have learnt the basics in this software, such as masking, keylight, key frames. But i have also learned some more complex special effects that i can do such as in my project i have created a very nice looking window smash.
Final Cut Pro - I used this editing software to put my final product together, it was relatively easy to use and effective. I have learned how to edit shots together in this program and also how t manipulate audio sounds.
Imovie - This program was used to convert the films from my camera to a format that was compatible with Apple. I learned how to import film from a camera to a Apple compatible format.
Motion - I used this program to create my production company logo. Although i have only learned the basics of this program it was enough to create the stylish and professional looking logo that i used in my movie.
Garage Band - This was the program i used to create my backing track for my film, as i could not find any suitable backing music on the program called soundtrack. I learnt how to create a piece on Garage Band and use the musical instruments on it to create a piece of music that would fit with my film.
Compressor - I learnt how to compress files to a small enough size to be easily uploaded to YouTube.

Websites that i have learned to use:
Video Copilot (http://www.videocopilot.net/)  - I used this website because it has tutorials on how to use After Effects to create some very complex special effects and titles.
You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/) - I used this website to upload my film and embed them on my blog. This taught me how You Tube works and also how to embed videos.
Blogger (http://www.blogger.com) - This website is the website that i made my blog in. I have learnt exactly how to create and manage a blog.
Google (http://www.google.com) - I used google to search up websites that i could download SFX from, all my car sounds are ones that i have found on site searched from google.

Evaluation - Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Oh my ... I went back and watched my preliminary task again, I'm almost embarrassed about how rubbish it is compared to my final film. It is clear i have come along way since i filmed the preliminary. My match on action in my preliminary task was very obvious. In my final film i feel that my match on action is more sutle as it is less in your face. Bellow are screen grabs of my to match on actions to compare:

My Final project:

In my final product i do not show the use of the 180 degree rule, i think this is a weakness of my film and if i was to do this task again i would defiantly try and do some shots to show the rule. I think there is none in my real product due to lack of organisation on the day of filming. Overall i am very pleased as my real product looks a lot better than my preliminary task, i believe this is down to my editing, because in my preliminary task i think my editing looks very clumsy and well ... amateurish. Were as the editing in my film i believe looks more professional with the way it cuts from shot to shot, i believe cutting the shots up with titles helped :).

The thing i am most pleased about is my title of the film because my title of the preliminary task is awful as i just used final cut pro. But for my actual film i used a program called motion and designed a stylish looking title. I think the difference is clear to see ....

Evaluation - In what ways does your media product use, develope or challange forms and convensions of real media products?

Directors Commentary

Evaluation - How does your media product represent a particular social group?

Evaluation - What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

My film is similar to the 1972 film named the Godfather. The Godfather was distributed by Paramount Pictures, and so this distributor is the one that Dealing With Dealers would be distributed. A film like mine would have to be produced at Hollywood because if the amount of special effects that need to be used in my film, like gun shots, explosions ect. The money for my film would have to come from private company's who would be looking for a take in the profits. My film could also be filmed on IMAX to try and bring more people into the Cinema to see it, rather than streaming it illegally online.

My titles are in order of that of any film, because i was trying to make it look as much like a real film as possible. The jobs that are in my titles i have the director, sound and lighting, and the writer's and also my main actor. I chose to only put my main actor in the opening titles because he is the character that my opening is based around.

My production company is called explosive production's. The logo is a fire explosion effect. I went for this logo because i wanted to give the impression that the film is going to be full of action. Twisted Pictures does this with the Saw films, there logo gives the impression that the film is going to be gory.

I will now burn a uncencored copy of my prodject onto disk and give it to terry (the main actor) as he requested a copy of the finished piece. Once i have done that i will the censor out my swar words and then export the finished product onto this blog.

Construction - More Audio

With my monalogue audio now into my project, i thought it was complete and so lissened through it. I reaslised however it was not yet complete as there was something missing. This something was backing music. I have decided to put backing music in at this late stage because without it my films sounds "awkwad" and the sound effects seem fake. So using garrage band i am creating a backing sound track that will start of and build up tension as my film plays through, i am using ambiant noises with guitars and also drum beats.

Construction - Serious Issues!!

Today i spoke to my teacher about my audio and script, he said that the swear words were unacceptable and may effect my results, this was a big issue as i believe that the swear words are in context to the genre of film i have gone for. My teacher suggested bleeping the swear words, however this may make take the emotion out of my film. So i surges ted making two copies of my film a censored one (with bleeps) and the original copy. My teacher is going to speak with the exam board to see what i can get away with. I will then make a decision about what i will do.
Another problem i had today was that the audio was windows format and so not compatible with the apple mac, so over the weekend i need to find a way of converting the audio to a format that will be acceptible to the Apple Mac.
